IMMIGRATION: Mexican has declined/stopped

Mexican Migration May Be Over  Barone writing book on migration, in general, but citing that as US economy has declined, Mexican economy has continued to grow, including its middle class and the housing bust has taken a huge Hispanic toll, immigration has reversed, since at least 2007.

TAXES higher Rates = More Corruption

The Link Between High Tax Rates and Corruption  Simple arithmetic proves the case; empiricacal  evidence is overwhelming.  couple of additional hypothetical questions.

  • First, imagine you’re a lobbyist. Do you think you will get more business if tax rates are high, or if tax rates are low?
  • Second, imagine you are a politician. Do you think you will get more campaign contributions if tax rates are high, or if tax rates are low?

Why Raising Tax Rates Won’t Raise Revenue  “Barack Obama has the rules of propaganda on his side here: The simple beats the complex, and social-justice symbolism packs an emotional punch that economics can’t match. But the reality is clear: You can jack up rates on the rich all you want, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get more tax revenue out of them.”  I have nothing to add to this certainty.  My comparison of Liberal actions to Joseph Goebbels is no accident or hyperbole.

CLIMATE CHANGE Intolerance, Logic

Monckton Ejected From U.N. Meeting For Telling Truth  “Christopher Monckton, the third viscount of Benchley, adviser to Margaret Thatcher and global warming realist, shook up the U.N.’s talks in Doha, Qatar, when he told the delegates that “in the 16 years we have been coming to these conferences, there has been no global warming at all.”

“If we were to take action,” he continued, “the cost of that would be many times greater than the cost of taking adaptive measures later. So our recommendation, therefore, is that we should initiate very quickly a review of the science to make sure we are all on the right track.”

His statement was met with boos and heckles — and, of course, an ejection and seizure of his credentials.”  “Meanwhile, our Energy Department admits that “fighting” global warning could cost 5 million U.S. jobs, and the American Council for Capital Formation has estimated that a climate change bill considered in Washington a few years back would cost the average U.S. household $6,752 a year by 2030.”  “Meanwhile, our Energy Department admits that “fighting” global warning could cost 5 million U.S. jobs, and the American Council for Capital Formation has estimated that a climate change bill considered in Washington a few years back would cost the average U.S. household $6,752 a year by 2030.” Nazis posing as ‘Do gooders.  Is there any other explanation?

NEXT PRESIDENT Hillary, Not so Fast

Hillary’s not so smooth path to the White House  Her past resembles Sherman’s march to the sea, or Patten’s path to the Rhine.  It didn’t just start in Little Rock or the White House.  “Not for nothing was she known in her college days as “Sister Frigidaire.”
