ELECTIONS

Will the Navy SEALs Swift Boat  Obama?

‘Almost eight years ago, presidential candidate John Kerry accepted the Democratic nomination with the infamous line: “I’m John Kerry, and I’m reporting for duty.” His military service, in a war three decades old, became the centerpiece of his campaign.

Within weeks, the Republicans had turned what was seen as one of Kerry’s strongest assets against him. Swift Boats Veterans for Truth—which included over 200 Vietnam veterans, most who hadn’t even served with Kerry—succeeded in raising doubts about the heroic narrative Kerry was selling.’

Today, after Obama has preened (including at the presser with the Premier of Japan) over the success of the Operation and his ‘pulling the trigger,’ the blowback is phenomenal, even among some Dems and flag-level military leaders, the latter regretting his politicization of the op.  Let’s not neglect his not so subtle referral to Romney, who, in Obama’s innuendo, would NOT have pulled the trigger.  Other than ACLUers, one would be hard pressed to find more than a few dozen Americans who would NOT have ‘pulled the trigger.’

Yesterday’s Ramirez cartoon, posted last night and heralded in the powerline blog in its Mini-Me President is a bullseye, from distances ranging from point blank to that exceeding our best snipers; so I enclose it again.

Will 2012 equal 2008 or 2010?

“Here is the key to GOP and swing voters’ alarm at the explosion of federal spending and federal debt.  As much as dollars and cents, they are concerned about American institutions.  The Constitution, the free economy, family, even religious liberty of late — the voters who determined the last three elections see the massive expansion of the federal government’s size and power as a threat to all of these.”

Observations from the author’s conversations around the country:

Remember why the country turned against the GOP in 06 and 08 and the Democrats in 10.

  • Concern about the debt and deficits is not just about numbers.
  • This will be a results-oriented election.
  • It isn’t just about you.

Important insights in this column.  Do NOT forget bullet #2 or any, for that matter.

ENERGY

Primer on Energy: “America’s energy consumption has remained in check even as GDP has risen rapidly, with pollution, meanwhile, declining drastically, as shown below:

Liberal talking point omit these facts.  Strange?  No, they have a different agenda: control and poverty for all except their cahunas.

Mass Exodus US Oil Refineries  “Sunoco is closing it’s 2 oil refineries in July 2012 in Philadelphia and Marcus Hook, Pa. Those 2 facilities alone process over 500,000 barrels a day.”  “Also announced last year, ConocoPhillips announced 2 plant closing for sure in Trainer, PA and Bayway, NJ., the other 3 plants are undecided as of today.”  “Conoco also announced they were closing their Alaskan refining facility.”  “Just a week ago, the US 3rd largest oil refinery owned and operated by The HESS Corp just announced its permanent closure. Costing over 2,000 jobs, and effecting 950 contractors.”

“They are ALL closing up shop due to gov regulations, union demands and excessive operating costs brought on by the Gov regulations.”  Get the picture?  Solution is simple: vote Dems out of Senate, House and White House.

OBAMA AND NOTHING BUT

More Blowback against our Whiney, Immodest and shamelessly self promoting President.  Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey weighs in.  Obama deserves all of it and more.  What a spineless, characterless charlatan.
